Hey, YBs! : Hope you had a productive and pleasant day. It is now time for me to sit quietly in a dark room. Gonna get that eye checked out Thursday, en route to cataract surgery soon, I hope. Teeth are getting there. I know you’ve been dying to know. Anyway, I’m finishing up a Chronicle column, and have a Substack column cooking, too. If I don’t say this enough, let me say it once again. You folks have literally saved my career, and for that, I am truly and profoundly grateful. The response to the book has been, well, overwhelming, and Bruce might even get his second caricature! Hi, Bruce! I’m also planning more books coming sooner rather than later, and I will let you in on that soon. OK. Enjoy your evening. —J.

Yep. That’s about the proportions the moron is pushing for his grand arch. May the saints presarve us. Get that cataract surgery, Jack. I had lens replacements on both eyes about 20 years ago (I’m 82). It was like a miracle. All of a sudden you’ll be able to see perfectly.
