We miss you in the Sacramento Bee (Slogan: Today’s News Tomorrow”. .. or the day after. I just learned that you and I have the same alma mater - though not contemporaries. When I was at PSC (later PSU), you were in short pants. See - I read your entire offering. And enjoyed it all. Thank you.
What a week you had, bravo! Good god, can you remember a time when you had this much bizarro material to mine from? By the way, 'Crowd Size' — my new favorite.
Do you do the color inking? I remember when I lived in the Bay Area as a teen journalist hearing about the guys who had to create the four-color overlays to create the comments, and was never sure how much input the cartoonist had.
Most excellent, sir. So glad I kept my Chron subscription (and your substack) when I tried for months and finally succeeded in ending my Bee subscription (still getting desperate renewal phone calls).
Would you share the name of the artist at Aerojet? My father ran the print shop out there during all the Apollo missions. He had a great bunch of talented folks working with him. I still have a few of pieces of their Apollo work. Some works of their own too.
So much great stuff!
I missed your work for so long in Portland.
What a treat to have such a bountiful bunch today!
