YIKES! I had missed a few, which had stayed my heart until tonight! Well, this is the one where the Emperor has no clothes, but neither does the whole cabinet! I will have to revisit that saying to predict how much we will have to dig to find the bar that got lowered!! Maybe Musk claims his efficiency led to no clothes expenses permitted! (Wearing just a smile and sneakers himself:)

Jack, I was coming to terms with Trump and then you brought this shit up! Back to being ridiculously afraid.

I hate to bust your bubble, but on January 3, Senator Chuck Grassley will replace Senator Patty Murry as Senate President Pro Tem (and Mitch McConnell is next in line after Grassley).

Okay, I realize if our candidates weren't so old this wouldn't even be a question, but about the line of succession .... if the president-elect died of old age before the inauguration, how would the succession order work? Asking for a friend.

Here's a scary thought I've been playing with. It's a scenario involving Trump and the 25th amendment. Goes like this: two or three years from now, JD Vance convinces (bribes) 15+ cabinet members that Trump is no longer mentally able to discharge the powers and duties of his presidency (not a stretch of the imagination at all). Vance becomes president, and at the very least gets a jump on the 2028 ticket, or decides a constitutional election is too inconsequential to bother with. Not sure if this has the facts, details, or wings to carry it forward, but Vance is definitely the buzzard to try them on.
