I am letting the morons at corporate Disney, Sinclair and Nexstar know they have lost me, my family and friends. We do not need them as we have many other sources for news and entertainment- PBS, Substack, the library, foreign media… Tonight the TV is off, so many things to read and think about.
Our country is rich in tales of fight backs—like the McCarthy black lists and hearings. (Like one song went, “If your mommy is a Commie, then you’ve got to turn her in.) We need to see more play-backs and references to those fights and wins.
I miss both of those as well, in equal but different ways. And may I suggest one more Jack who was not a small influence on culture and counterculture and a lasting thread for those of Literate pursuit: Jack Kerouac.
